I’m sure everyone would love to receive some sort of gift from a fairy godmother. Well, Ella would not recommend that. She really got the short end of the stick from her fairy godmother.
You see, Ella was cursed – I mean blessed – to always be obedient. Always. No matter what the command, no matter who it is from. To most parents, that might seem amazing. Your kid could never disobey and get into trouble. (Of course, to the kids, this would be awful). But this “blessing” does not work out in Ella’s favor. What if she was ordered to sit silently forever?
Or to run away?
Or to chop off her head?
So Ella sets off to break her curse. Of course, this has nothing to do with the handsome prince she’s met. Along the way, she encounters many strange things. Will anyone discover her curse and use it against her? You’ll have to read the book to find out.
Oh, and this is also a Cinderella retelling, if you’re into that.
PSA: don’t watch the movie, it’s terrible. The only fun part is watching Anne Hathaway do dumb stuff.
